Charles Seale
A Designer, Historian, Thespian, and Foodie.
Seale was awarded the Bronze Star for his Viet Nam service, was named Eunice Citizen of the Year, named Preservationist of the Year, Biloxi, MS., and was awarded the American Society of Interior Designers Chapter Medalist.
He holds a BFA in Interior Design from Louisiana Tech University and has thirty hours toward an MFA in Painting from Louisiana State University. His education includes studying abroad.
Professionally, Seale has served as President of the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. He has won over thirty professional design competition awards. His work has been featured in regional and national shelter magazines. Seale has served as a site visitor for the accreditation of interior design programs in colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. He serves on the Registered Interior Designers of Louisiana Ethics Committee. He has served as in=house designer for Tiffany & Co. in Houston and Dallas. Seale serves on advisory councils for Sherwin Williams and Architectural Digest. He has been named to Who’s Who in Interior Design.
Seale has served in many capacities with the Eunice Players Theatre, the ULL School of Music, the Acadian Opera Society, and the Playwright’s Theatre of Louisiana where he performed Off Broadway.
He has demonstrated native crafts and Prairie Cajun cooking at the Jean Lafitte Park and Preserve in Eunice and New Orleans as well as at various festivals including the Louisiana State Folklife Festival. Seale has served as a contributing editor for Bonne Nouvelle newspaper and Louisiana Kitchen & Culture magazine.
